Shred Betty

"Shred Betty"
Music by Scott Cooley.

Well, it's an instrumental surf rock song featuring lead acoustic guitar riffage played through an amp with effects, but it does feature two words (the title) sung/shouted at the climax of the song:

Brief Description

This originally had words, and was called Shakey Jake, which was about how every American university town seems to have a few guys with really long beards that are not necessarily homeless, but are intriguing to young, naive college students who give them money when they beg on the streets.  However, it was one of those tunes where the words didn't fit the music well, but the music was so good I didn't want to change it.  When recording it, I muted the vocal track and realized this sounded like a surf instrumental that could stand alone, so I released it as such.  The lead guitar playing is done on an acoustic guitar, believe it or not, played through an amp w/ some effects.  Someday, when I get real big and get my first electric guitar, I should really be able to shred this one on it.  Every recording artist needs at least one instrumental tune in their catalog, and this is my second one, after Into The Sunset.
