Monday night heading home from work, can't keep my hunger at bay

Mariachis play on my radio, and I wish it was tomorrow

The weekend went by way too fast, and I worked so hard today

I had to skip my lunch again, now all I feel is sorrow

In four more days I'll get paid and have more than enough for a bite

But I didn't plan ahead again, and it's so hard to have to wait

I don't have enough to go and see all my amigos tonight

But I'm so very hungry now, and tomorrow it will be too late

Oh how I wish it was taco Tuesday today

Can't get my fill and still pay the bill

But my mouth it waters thinking about the thrill

My empty stomach is craving satiety

My empty wallet requires a special price you see

Oh how I wish it was taco Tuesday today

I dream of a future plan after I become a rich man

I will observe it any day of the week, like I'm in Mexico

'Till then I'll blow what I have, on cheap food that is bland

I won't go if all I can afford is just one bean burrito
